Mia is a rising senior and captain at Newton South High School, where she has been part of the nationally ranked debate team for the past four years. Throughout her debate career, she has competed both locally and nationally, reaching the finals of the NCFL Grand Nationals, semifinals of the Massachusetts State Debate Tournament, qualifying for the Tournament of Champions three years in a row, and has made it to elimination rounds numerous other tournaments. Outside of competing, Mia loves coaching and serves as an instructor for Newton’s middle school debate team, where she helps over 50 students build and refine their debate skills.
